The evolution of good governance through financial management at the Organization of America States:  What are the financial management mechanisms in place and how have these evolved to ensure that objectives and outcomes established by its stakeholders are achieved in an efficient, economic and effective way.

Our Speakers: 
Javier Arnaiz, CGFM, is an international public organization officer at the Organization of American States (OAS). He has over twenty years of experience in financial accounting and general management. He joined the OAS in late 1995 as a staff accountant in the Department of Financial Services. Since then, he has held several positions, including Cash Manager, Chief of Financial Reporting and Compliance, and currently Director of Finance and Treasurer of the OAS.

Diego Yrivarren, CGFM, has over 10 years of financial accounting experience as an officer at the Organization of American States (OAS) where he currently holds the title of Financial Reporting Manager. Diego advises senior management on financial control issues and leads a team of accountants in the preparation of statutory financial statements. He has led several initiatives to help build financial management capacity, including: business process improvement, establishment of effective client relationships, updates to outdated financial regulations and controls, and changes in organizational structure.
