Is the Open Budget Initiative Rating Accurate?


ICGFM delegates from the Government of Honduras challenged Vivek Ramkumar, of the International Budget Partnership -Open Budget Initiative, to explain the Honduran rating. Mr. Ramkumar explained the methodology. This resulted in further discussions about accuracy in data collection and the interpretation of such data.

    The confusion over dates may have been related to what was available by September 2007 vs. September 2008. Of course, there could be some misunderstanding about definitions - clearly OBI is focused on what was publicly available.
