Our Speaker: Ms. Lisa Fiely currently
serves as the Director/CFO of the US African Development Foundation. She previously retired from the Federal
Government after 30 plus years of service. When she retired she was the Deputy Chief
Financial Officer of the US Department of Labor and before that served as the
Chief Financial Officer at the US Agency for International Development (USAID).
Ms. Fiely began her Federal career at the Department of the
Interior as an auditor then moved on to Health and Human Services, Treasury
Department, and the Environmental Protection Agency serving in the audit
capacity. While working at EPA, she
transitioned from audit to finance taking on the role of Branch Chief for the
Financial Policy Branch. After moving to
the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) to head up the Accounting Standards and
Evaluation Division within the CFO Office, she was promoted to National
Director of Finance/Deputy Chief Financial Officer and served in that capacity
for the remainder of her Federal career.
